Meehan Mental Health Services is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformity to the American Counseling Association’s (ACA) Code of Ethics. Meehan Mental Health will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities regarding non-discriminatory practices for promotional activities, program content and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be responsibility Ann Meehan, therapist and sole owner of Meehan Mental Health Services.
While Meehan Mental Health Services takes much care to ensure fair treatment for all participants and goes to great lengths to attempt to anticipate problems, it recognizes that complaints do and will arise. Meehan Mental Health Services will do its best to anticipate problems and, when they do present themselves, will attempt to alleviate complaints and concerns as quickly as possible.
Refund Policy
All refund requests must be made at least 7 days before the start of contact training. Any deviation of this will be clearly printed on all promotional materials for a specific training. If a service charge applies for processing refunds it will be clearly stated on all promotional materials. You can send someone in your place if you are unable to attend a training and Meehan Mental Health Services needs to be notified at least 24 hours before the training is set to begin.
Refunds will not be given to non-contact trainings.
Grievance Policy
Any complaints can be directed to Ann Meehan at [email protected]. When a complaint, either verbally or written, is filed with Meehan Mental Health Services, the following guidelines are followed with respect to achieving resolution:
1. Complaints relating to a speaker or workshop leader, contents of instructional materials being presented, or an individual educational style being utilized, the individual voicing disapproval is requested to first address concerns to the presenter. If the presenter is not available, complaints will be requested to be placed in writing. If the presenter is a different individual than Ann Meehan, Meehan Mental Health Services will convey these comments to the speaker while maintaining confidentiality of the complainant.
2. If the complaint concerns a continuing education activity, its content, level of presentation, or facilities in which the event is being held, Meehan Mental Health Services will attempt to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Resolutions will be offered (including, but not be limited to partial/full refund of fees paid; credit toward future event) as soon as possible, but if the offered resolution does not satisfactory to the individual filing the complaint, then further action may be taken. In the latter instance, the individual is requested to place his/her complaint in writing to the attention of Meehan Metal Health Services. The complaint is then reviewed by the Ann Meehan and a written response will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the written complaint, which constitutes the final decision.
