Training can be fun?
YES ! We learn best in a relaxed atmosphere where we are having fun! I develop training programs that include practical real world techniques that therapists can implement in their practice tomorrow, with a splash of polyvagal theory, strong research background, clinical theory, and a bit of sparkle. I am an Association for Play Therapy Approved Provider for Continuing Education and LOVE to spread the powers of play therapy, trauma therapy, and child and adolescent therapy to other professionals.
My trainings are interactive, because I believe if we are going to expect young people to do the work, we have to be willing to do the work ourselves first. This usually means some sort of, or to be honest a lot of, creative activities and discussion. Don't worry introverts - I promise it will be fun! We also learn best when we are connecting with others.
When I am training I also take complex theoretical information and break it down into digestable chunks that make sense to apply in our work with young people. Additionally I help my attendees leave with a concrete plan to help answer the question of - what next? So often we leave trainings with all these great ideas in the moment that wind up sitting on our desks gathering dust - not today! With a little creativity and planning techniques can be seamlessly integrated into your practice so you can show up for the young people you serve as the best version of yourself! Oh, and most of the attendees leave with a little something to take back into their practice - it is the training version of my treasure chest. AND I am all about my treasure chest!

You want more. To equip your therapists, agency, school, or community with more resources, tools, and knowledge to grow in competencies in their work with children and adolescents. You want more than just checking a box to ensure that everyone gets their yearly CEUs. You want a training that energizes instead of overwhelms. An experience where instead of walking away having that what next feeling, you walk away with practice real world tools and applications to inform your work with young people tomorrow. A training that gets people EXCITED to work with children and adolescents and the magical and messy moments of play therapy, trauma therapy, and therapy with young people.
If this sounds like what you need let's talk - e-mail me HERE for more information, to see if I would be a good fit for your event, and speaking rates.
